History: On July 4, 1919 at the Bay View Park Arena in Toledo, Ohip world heavyweight champion Jess Willard defended his title against rugged Jack Dempsey. Dempsey stopped Willard in the 3rd round. Willard was down seven times in the first round, but kept his feet afterwards until the fight was stopped. He suffered a terrible beating and was cut up badly. Offered here is an original, full, unused ticket for this event. Authenticated by PSA/DNA.

Full description: This is an original, full, unused ticket which names the fighters and includes a section, row and seat number. Bold color and print. Stub firmly attached. Clean front and back. Not creased or torn. Minor edge wear. 2 5/8" x 6 3/4." Encapsulated by PSA/DNA who have graded the ticket NM-7. One of the better examples we have offered.
