History: On April 11, 1908 at the Mission Street Arena in Colma, California lightweights Jimmy Britt and Packey McFarland fought in an important divisional matchup. McFarland prevailed stopping Britt in the 6th round. Offered here is an original, first generation photo taken by the notable Dana Studios depicting both fighters in the ring at the end of the fight with Britt sprawled out on the canvas as referee Jack Welch counts him out.
