HISTORY: On March 22, 1916 at the Pioneer Sporting Club in New York City middleweights Gus Christie and George Ashe battled in the featured match on the show which also included Young Kid McCoy vs. Patsy Brannigan. Christie won a ten round decision. Christie would go on to fight draws with Battling Levinsky and George Chip and would defeat Frank Mantell and Kid Norfolk.
