HISTORY: On March 15, 1996 at the Convention Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey the boxing show headlined a group of young and promising heavyweight contenders. Andrew Golota stopped Danell Nicholson in the 8th round. Nicholson suffered a huge intentional headbutt from Golota. He was very staggered by that. Referee Eddie Cotton deducted one point from Golota because of that headbutt. Nicholson bravery came back in sixth round and landed few big shots to Golota's head. Exhausted Nicholson took tremendous beating in the eighth round and was unable to answer the bell for the ninth round. Darroll Wilson upset highly touted Shannon Briggs in the 3rd round. David Tua destroyed "The Quiet Man" Johnny Ruiz at 19 seconds of the first round. Michael Grant stopped Corey Sanders in the 2nd round.
