ALI, MUHAMMAD-LEON SPINKS II ABC TV PROGRAM (1978)

On September 15 1978 in New Orleans Muhammad Ali met Leon Spinks for the Heavyweight Title. Ali would avenge his earlier loss to Spinks and would win the title back by unanimous decision. Ali became the first man to win the heavyweight title on three different occasions. The fight was shown on ABC television and claimed a viewing audience of 73%, a then Nielsen ratings record.
