ALI, MUHAMMAD WIRE PHOTO (QUARRY FIGHT-1970)

On October 26, 1970 Muhammad Ali had his first fight following a three year forced retirement due to his refusal to enter the armed forces. The fight was at the Municipal Auditorium in Atlanta against tough Jerry Quarry. Ali had an easy time of it and stopped Quarry in the third round. Presented here is an original wirephoto of Muhammad Ali explaining how he defeated Jerry Quarry. It is an Associated Press wirephoto.
This original wirephoto of Muhammad Ali is 6 1/4" x 8 1/2." The corners are slightly soft and blue ink has underlined "Muhammad Ali" in the caption. Otherwise the photo is clean with no rips or tears.
