HISTORY: On January 28, 1978 at the Estadio Juan Ramon Loubriel, Bayamon world super featherweight champion Alexis Arguello defended his title aainst Alfredo Escalera. Arguello stopped Escalera in the 13th round. Escalera was down in the 2nd round. Referee Arthur Mercante stopped the fight in the 13th because of cuts.
