On April 29, 1978 at the Forum in Inglewood, California world super featherweight champion Alexis Arguello defended his title against Rey Tam. Arguello dominated the fight and stopped Tam in the 5th round. Tam threw up his hands in surrender after being nailed by a left-right combination. Arguello had dominated the fight, winning every round. Arguello's purse was $115,000. Offered here is an original wire photo depicting Arguello landing a right body shot during the fight.
