HISTORY: Alexis Arguello was born on April 19, 1952 in Managua, Nicaragua. He won the WBA Featherweight Title on November 23, 1974 in a bout with Ruben Olivares. On January 28, 1978 he won the WBC Super Featherweight Title from Alfredo Escalera. He retired after a February 9, 1986 bout with Bill Costello with a final record of 80-6 with 65 KO's. Alexis Arguello passed away suddenly on July 1, 2009.
Offered here is a signed boxing glove by Alexis Arguello. From collection of a NYPD Police Captain who obtained this in person at the Boxing Hall Of Fame Induction weekend in 2008.
FULL DESCRIPTION: This is an original, red leather, right hand, regulation size boxing glove with a white Everlast label at the wrist. Boldly signed across the backhand in black sharpie, "Alexis A." The glove has no noticeable flaws. 10 ounce boxing glove.
