BACKUS, BILLY-JOSE NAPOLES FULL TICKET (1971)

On June 4,1971 Jose Napoles met Billy Backus for the Welterweight Title. Backus was knocked down twice in the 8th round. After the 2nd knockdown, the referee took Backus to the ring doctor, who stopped the fight on a cut in the corner of Backus' left eye giving Napoles the Title back. Presented here is an original, full, unused ticket for this event.
This is an original, full, unused ticket which pictures and names both fighters and includes a section, row and seat number. Bold color and print. Stub firmly attached. Paper residue on back from mounting. Mild crease in upper right corner. 2" x 5."
