HISTORY: On February 22, 1957 (postponed from January 18th) world welterweight champion Carmen Basilio defended his title against Johnny Saxton in their third meeting. Basilio stopped Saxton in the 2nd round. Saxton was knocked down by a left hook, but rose unsteady, causing referee to stop the bout. Offered here is an original, on site, stubless ticket for this event.
FULL DESCRIPTION: This is an original, on site, stubless ticket which names and pictures both fighters and includes a seat number. A Working Press ticket. Bold color and print. Bold, clear images. Clean front and back. Two punch holes. Has a center crease. No tears. The word Photo written at left corner. 2 5/8" x 5." Very scarce ticket, the first we have offered.
