Carmen Basilio was born on April 2, 1927 in Canastota, New York. He won the World Welterweight Title on June 10, 1955 from Tony DeMarco. He won the World Middleweight Title from Ray Robinson on September 23, 1957. He retired after losing to Paul Pender on April 22, 1961 with a final record of 56-16-7 with 27 KO's. Offered here is an original, souvenir lighter of Carmen Basilio which comes in its original box.
This is an original souvenir lighter which is silver colored metal and pictures Carmen Basilio on one side. On the other side it is engraved, "BEST WISHES"from the WELTERWEIGHT and MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD CARMEN BASILIO. Appears unused. 1 1/2" x 2 1/4."
