HISTORY: On July 16, 1983 at The Dunes in Las Vegas junior middleweights Wilfred Benitez and Mustafa Hamsho fought in a featured bout. Hamsho prevailed winning a unanimous 12 round decision. In the co feature heavyweight Tim Witherspoon scored a unanimous ten round decision over Jumbo Cummings who he put down in the second round.
