This is a French photo postcard from the early 20th century picturing some of the important fighters appearing in France at the time. Fighters pictured include: Sam McVea, Sam Langford, Joe Jeannette, Georges Carpentier, Willie Lewis and Henri Piet. Entitled the Champions of Boxing.
This is an original, used, photo postcard picturing these 6 ring greats. In French except the names. Small crease in upper right corner. Clean front and back. Under Carpentier's name is written, Champion d' Europe pouds lourd 1913." Names of other fighters also written neatly under the photos. Some corner wear. No tears. No tack holes. 3 5/8" x 5 3/4."
