Joe Louis fought Jim Braddock on June 22, 1937 in Chicago for the Heavyweight Championship. Louis, down early in the fight rallied and knocked Braddock out in the 8th round to win the World Heavyweight Title. Offered here is an original wire photo dated April 6, 1937 depicting Braddock and his sparring partner Jack McCarthy doing road work in Stone Lake, Wisconsin in preparation for the fight with Joe Louis.
