HISTORY: Jimmy Britt was born on October 5 1879 in San Francisco. He defeating Battling Nelson on December 20, 1904 to win the Lightweight Championship of the World. He retired after losing to Johnny Summers on July 31, 1909. Presented here is a signed photo of Jimmy Britt.
FULL DESCRIPTION: Jimmy Britt has signed this 10 3/4" x 12 3/4" first generation, mounted photo in black ink. He has inscribed the photo, "To my friend Johnny Mahoney from Very Truly Yours, Jimmy Britt. World's Featherweight Champion. Boston Mass, May 28, 1904." There are rips along the edges of the mount that have been taped and cracks in the mount are reinforced by tape on both the front and back. The photo is in fine condition. Bold, vintage signature and photo as world champion.
