HISTORY: On April 23, 1988 at Palais des Sports, Berck-sur-Mer, Pas-de-Calais, France welterweights Simon Brown and Tyrone Trice fought for the vacant IBF world welterweight title. Brown stopped Trice in the 14th round to capture the crown. Brown was knocked down once in the 2nd. Trice was knocked down three times in the 12th and once in the 14th.
