On December 13, 1932 at the Armory in Grand Rapids, Michigan heavyweights Primo Carnera and Big Boy Peterson fought in the main event. Carnera stopped Peterson in the 2nd round. Peterson "was the aggressor in the 1st round but Carnera took charge in the second." Peterson's "handlers threw a towel in the ring as he sank to the canvas for the fourth time."
