On October 12, 1931 at Ebbet's Field in Brooklyn, New York heavyweights Primo Carnera and Jack Sharkey fought in the main event. Sharkey won by unanimous 15 round decision. Carnera was down in 4th. Billed as being for the American heavyweight title.Had an attendance of 30,000. Offered here is an original wire photo depicting action during the fight.
