CARNERA, PRIMO TRAINING WIRE PHOTO (FOR MALONEY-1931)

On March 5, 1931 at Madison Square Garden Stadium in MIami, Florida heavyweights Primo Carnera and Jim Maloney met in the main event. Known as the "Battle of the Cracked Rib," due to a fracture Carnera suffered two weeks earlier. Carnera, however, managed to win a ten round decision. Offered here is an original wire photo of Primo Carnera taken on February 15, 1931 as he trained for the fight at the American Legion Arena in Miami, Florida.
