Georges Carpentier was born on January 12, 1994 in Lens, France. He won the World Light Heavyweight Title on October 12, 1920 in a bout with Battling Levinsky. He also held the European Welterweight, French Welterweight, European Middleweight, European Light Heavyweight, European Heavyweight and White Heavyweight Titles. He retired after an exhibition match with Jack Walker on January 11, 1927 with a final record of 88-14-6 with 1 no decision and 56 KO's. Presented here is a 1911 color supplement of Georges Carpentier from "Vie au Grand Air."
This color supplement of Georges Carpentier is 10 3/4" x 13 3/4." There are small rips along the edges and there are two tack holes in the upper left side. Clean.
