This is an original, first generation, antique photograph picturing world light heavyweight champion Georges Carpentier of France, former world heavyweight champion James J. Corbett and promoter Jack Curley. Circa early 1920's. Taken at Carpentier's training camp on Long Island as he prepared for his heavyweight championship fight with Jack Dempsey on July 2, 1921.
This is an original, first generation, antique photo. Bold, clear image. Clean front and back. Photographer stamp for Cadet of Great Neck, New York in lower right corner. Names of fighters neatly and lightly written at base of each body. Mild creases in two lower corners. 7 1/2" x 8 1/2."
