On February 12, 1912 in Monaco future world light heavyweight champion Georges Carpentier defended his European Middleweight title against Jim Sullivan. Carpentier dominated out knocked Sullivan out in the 2nd round. Offered here is a real photo postcard from France which depicts the end of the fight and which has been signed by Georges Carpentier.
This is an original, unused, real photo postcard. Type at bottom in French. Bold, clear image. Inscribed and signed in fountain pen by Georges Carpentier. Not crease. Edge and corner wear with small paper loss at two bottom corners. Minor staining on back. 3 1/2" x 5 1/2."
