CARTER, JIMMY-TOMMY COLLINS OFFICIAL PROGRAM (1953-LIGHTWEIGHT TITLE)

On April 24, 1953 at the Boston Garden world lightweight champion Jimmy Carter defended his title against Tommy Collins. Carter dominated and stopped Collins in the 4th round in defense of his title. Collins, moving up in weight, took a beating from Carter touching canvas no less than ten times in front of a stunned hometown crowd. Collins cornermen entered the ring to stop the fight. Offered here is a rare, original, official program from this event.
