HISTORY: On June 22, 1949 at Comiskey Park in Chicago heavyweights Ezzard Charles and Jersey Joe Walcott fought for the vacant world heavyweight title (vacated by Joe Louis retirement). Charles prevailed in this first encounter with Walcott winning a unanimous 15 round decision and the title. Offered here is an original, souvenir program for this event.
