On February 25, 1964 Cassius Clay fought Sonny Liston for the World Heavyweight Title. Clay won the title from Liston after Liston retired in the 7th round citing an injured shoulder. After this fight Clay changed his name to Muhammad X and then Muhammad Ali. It was the Ring Magazine 1964 Fight of the Year.
