Young Corbett (William H. Rothwell) began his career in 1897. On November 28, 1901 he defeated Terry McGovern to win the World Featherweight Title. He defended the title four times before vacating it in 1903. Posted a career mark of 62-21-17 with one no decision. In addition to McGovern he had victories over George Dixon, Dave Sullivan, Joe Bernstein and Eddie Hanlon. Presented here is a rare photo of Young Corbett II and his entourage and fans gathered near a train as he prepares for an appearance on a vaudeville show.
