Harold Dade (March 24, 1923 in Chicago, IL – July 17, 1962) was an American boxer and Bantamweight champion. He fought from 1942 thru 1955 and compiled a career record of 39-30-6. Dade turned captured the World Bantamweight championship in 1947 with a win over Manuel Ortiz. Offered here is an original, vintage signed photograph of Harold Dade. It is from the personal collection of Pop Soper an old time boxing training camp owner in California from the 1920's to the 1950's.
This is a glossy, black and white, vintage photograph of Dade at the height of his career. Boldly signed in ink, "To My Friend Jack Cohen Best Wishes Harold Dade." Tack hole at top center white border. Creased in all four corners with closed tears on the left and right borders. Bold, clear image. Clean. 8" x 10." Scarce, the first signed photo of Dade we have offered.
