DE LA HOYA, OSCAR-DERREL COLEY & ARTURO GATTI-JOEY GAMACHE HBO POSTER (2000)

Oscar de La Hoya fought Derrel Coley on February 26, 2000 at Madison Square Garden. De La Hoya knocked Coley out in the 7th round to win the IBA Welterweight Title. On the undercard in a very controversial fight Arturo Gatti stopped Joey Gamache. De La Hoya was awarded the WBC title as Felix Trinidad moved to Light Middleweight division. Coley was knocked out with a body shot. The weight disparity on the day of the fight was so great that it resulted in a popular outcry against Gatti. This violent knockout landed Gamache in the hospital for a week and ended his career. Presented here is an HBO poster to their bout.
