DEMPSEY, JACK-BILL BRENNAN FULL TICKET (1922)

On Labor Day, September 4, 1922 at the Floyd Fitsimmons Arena in Michigan City, Indiana world heavyweight champion Jack Dempsey was scheduled to defend his title against Bill Brennan. The fight was signed for and money was in place. The state governor and others, however, interceded to stop the prize fight under state law. Ultimately the fight was cancelled. Offered here is an original, full, unused ticket for the event.
This is an original, full, unused ticket which names the fighters and which includes a section, row and seat number. Bold color and print. Stub firmly attached. Small clip at upper right corner. Some back damage from mounting. Clean. 2 3/4" x 7 1/8." Rare.
