DEMPSEY, JACK COLOR LARGE FORMAT PHOTO (IN SERVICE)

: Jack Dempsey was born on June 24, 1895 in Manassa, Colorado. He defeated Jess Willard on July 4, 1919 to win the World Heavyweight Title and held the title until September 23, 1926 when he lost to Gene Tunney. Dempsey announced his retirement in February of 1928 with a final record of 64-6-9 with 49 KO's. Presented here is an original large format color photo of Dempsey in the sevice circa 1940's.
This photo measures 11 inches by 14 inches.The photo shows edge and corner wear.The corners have small chips in them.There are three light creases in the upper right side.The top edge shows some wear.The back is blank with tape on the top edge for support.The image is vivid.
