HISTORY: On July 4,1919 Jack Dempsey fought Jess Willard for the Heavyweight Title. In a fight that saw Willard knocked down several times and hurt badly the fight was won by Dempsey by a 3rd round TKO. Presented here is an original, souvenir postcard from this event.
FULL DESCRIPTION: This is an original, used, souvenir postcard which pictures both fighters, Tex Rickard and Frank Flournoy. Bold, clear images. Crease in lower right corner. Corner wear. Postmarked July 14, 1919. Surface wear on the reverse. Generally clean. 3 1/2" x 5 1/2." Very scarce souvenir postcard.
