On July 4,1919 Jack Dempsey would fight Jess Willard for the Heavyweight Title. In a brutal fight, Willard would be knocked down several times. Dempsey would win the bout by TKO in 3 rounds. Presented here is an original wire photo of Jack Dempsey taken on June 26, 1919 at his training camp snacking on some watermelon, about a week before this historic fight.
