DOKES, MICHAEL-JAMES PRITCHARD OFFICIAL PROGRAM (1988)

History: On April 28, 1988 at the Felt Forum in New York heavyweights Michael Dokes and James Pritchard headlined the boxing show. Dokes stopped Pritchard in the 7th round. The fight was for the WBC Continental Americas Heavyweight Title (Vacant title). Dokes, trailing in the fight, staggered Pritchard with a left hook to the chin with less than a minute remaining in the seventh round. Dokes drove Pritchard to the ropes, and the referee stopped the fight after Dokes hit Pritchard with a right cross and a left hook. Pritchard was helpless on the ropes.
