DOKES, MICHAEL-MANOEL CLAY DE ALMEIDA OFFICIAL PROGRAM (1988)

HISTORY: On July 28, 1988 at the Felt Forum in New york heavyweights Michael Dokes and Manoel Clay De Almeida fought in a featured bout. Dokes stopped De Almeida who would not come out for the 5th round.  Referee Arthur Mercante warns Dokes for borderline low blows in round 1. Referee took a point away from Dokes in the third for a series of low blows. Despite never appearing seriously hurt, Manoel De Almeida refuses to leave his corner at the beginning of round 5. Offered here is a scarce, original, official program for this event.
