On June 16, 1983 at Madison Square Garden in New York World Junior Middleweight Champion Davey Moore defended his title against veteran former champion Roberto Duran. Duran dominated the fight and stopped Moore in the 8th round to win the title. On the undercard Luis Resto stopped "Irish" Billy Collins in a controversial fight. It was later determined Resto's trainer "panama" Lewis had removed padding from Resto's gloves and he inflicted a terrible beating on Collins. resto was successfully prosecuted and both he and Lewis were banned from the sport. Offered here is the original contract for this fight between Roberto Duran and the promoter for the fight Top Rank which has been signed by Roberto Duran and Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum.
