ELLIS, JIMMY-LEOTIS MARTIN & ERNIE TERRELL-THAD SPENCER ROVING PASS (1967)

On August 5, 1967 at the Astrodome in Houston, Texas the world heavyweight elimination tournament took place in seek of a new champion for the stripped Muhammad Ali (for not accepting military induction). Jimmy Ellis stopped Leotis Martin in the 9th round. In the other bout Ernie Terrell lost a 12 round decision to Thad Spencer. Offered here is an original Roving Pass for this event.
This is an original Roving Pass printed on heavy stock. Bold color and print. Hole at top for neck chain. Not creased or torn. Clean front and back. 2 1/2" x 3 1/4." One of the few examples we have seen.
