FULLMER, GENE-FLORENTINO FERNANDEZ PRESS KIT (1961)

On August 5, 1961 at Ogden Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah world middleweight champion Gene Fullmer defended his title against hard punching Florentino Fernandez. Fullmer prevailed winning a close 15 round split decision. Fullmer fractured his elbow during the fight. Offered here is an original press kit program which was used by the media.
This is an original press kit picturing both fighters on the cover. A 4 page kit with packets inside storing information about the fight, venue and fighters. Tight binding. Surface and edge wear with some cover soiling. Surface wear heavier on back cover. 9" x 10 3/4."
