HISTORY: George Gainford was a notable boxing manager and trainer in the 1940's and 1950's. He is best remembered as trainer of Sugar Ray Robinson. He also handled Gene Burton and Artie Towne. Gainford worked out of New York City and was a long time fixture at Stillman's Gym. Offered here is a rare typed and signed letter by George Gainford dated July 7, 1966.
