GAVILAN, KID EXHIBIT CARD

Kid Gavilan of Cuba won the World Welterweight Title on May 18, 1951 defeating Johnny Bratton by 15 round decision. He successfully defended this title six times. He had victories over Carmen Basilio, Billy Graham, Beau Jack, Ike Williams, and Gil Turner. He retired in 1958 with a career mark of 107-30-6. Presented here is an original exhibit card of Gavilan.
This card measures 3 1/4 inches by 7 1/4 inches.The card has some edge and corner wear,no creases.There is some soiling on the frony=t of the card.The back is bl ank.
