GAVILAN, KID-FITZIE PRUDEN WIRE PHOTO (1951)

On July 16, 1951 at the Arena in Milwaukee welterweights Kid Gavilan and Fitzie Pruden battled in the main event. In a one sided affair Gavilan won a unanimous ten round decision. Offered here is an original wire photo depicting Gavilan battering a left hand off the face of Pruden.
