On August 6, 1968 (rescheduled from July 8th) at the Spectrum in Philadelphia former world welterweight and middleweight champion Emile Griffith fought local favorite Gypsy Joe Harris in the main event. Griffith prevailed winning a unanimous 12 round decision. Offered here is an original wire photo depicting both fighters being examined in their pre fight medical exam.
