GULLY, JOHN INK SIGNATURE (1833)

John Gully was born in 1783 in Bristol, England. He became a heavyweight champion when Henry Pearce retired and Gully defended the title when he defeated Bob Gregson twice. In 1832 he was elected to Parliament and served two terms. Presented here is an ink signature of John Gully and has been date stamped 1833.
John Gully has boldly signed this 2 3/4" x 5" cut in black ink. He has signed in the lower left corner and the address is in his hand. There is some light soiling on the cut. No rips or tears.
