HISTORY: On September 27, 1980 at Wembley Arena in London, England middleweight champion Alan Minter of Crawley, England defended his title against tough Marvin Hagler of the United States. Referee Carlos Berrocal called a stop to the action in the third round due to a cut over Minter's eye awarding the fight and title to Hagler. A riot broke out in the arena following the stoppage.
