HISTORY: On May 3, 1971 at the Philadelphia Arena middleweights Eugene "Cyclone" Hart and Stanley "Kitten" Hayward battled in the main event. Hart stopped Hayward in the first round. "Eugene 'Cyclone' Hart, a slugging 19 year old middleweight, stopped Stanley 'Kitten' Hayward with a flurry of blows at 1:00 in the 1st round Monday night for his 19th straight knockout. Shortly after the opening bell, the undefeated Hart connected with a left hook that sent his 31 year old opponent to the canvas for an eight count. Hart swarmed over Hayward with seven consecutive punches before the referee stopped the fight on a TKO." -Associated Press.
