HISTORY: On December 2, 2009 at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia former world champion Bernard Hopkins fought Enrique Ornelas in a light heavyweight main event. Hopkins easily won a unanimous 12 round decision. Ex-Middleweight champion Bernard Hopkins, 44, won every round as the busier fighter by out jabbing and outworking a younger opponent all night. Ornelas hung tough, surviving the twelve rounds while taking a lopsided beating. Hopkins, for his part, scored his 50th win, and stated after the bout that he still hoped for the opportunity to fight a rematch against Roy Jones, Jr. in 2010 despite Jones's TKO loss to Danny Green in Australia earlier in the evening, which Hopkins watched via delayed telecast after his bout ended.
