HISTORY: Fighting Dick Hyland was an American Lightweight fighter who fought from 1902 through 1923 compiling a career record of 22-28-8. Hyland was born in Grass Valley, California on October 20, 1885. His first fight was on September 19, 1902, a loss to Joe Carroll. During his career Hyland fought Leach Cross, "Harlem" Tommy Murphy, Pal Moore and Battling Nelson. Hyland passed away in 1965 at the age of eighty. Presented here is an original mailing envelope of Fighting Dick Hyland.
