HISTORY: Glengoffe Donovan Bartholomew Johnson (born 2 January 1969) is a Jamaican former professional boxer who competed from 1993 to 2015. He held the IBF, IBO and Ring magazine light heavyweight titles between 2004 and 2005, and challenged once each for world titles at middleweight and super middleweight.
He was named Fighter of the Year in 2004 by The Ring and the Boxing Writers Association of America for his upset knockout victory over Roy Jones Jr. Throughout his career, Johnson was well known for his exceptionally durable chin and relentless pressure fighting style.
Offered here is an original cornerman jacket used by Mark Vaz, a trainer of Glen Johnson who also worked in his corner during his fights.
FULL DESCRIPTION: This is an original, satin, short sleeve, white with blue trim corner jacket/ Has a zipper front. On the front left breast is a patch for Everlast. On the right front breast is sewn the word, MARK. On the reverse there is an Everlast patch. Below the patch in blue, block lettering are sewn the words, TEAM JOHNSON. Below that lettering is a patch for the Seminole Tribe of Florida. Mild soiling from use. No tears. Approximate size XL. From the collection of Mark Vaz.
