JOHNSON, HAROLD-GUSTAV "BUBI" SCHOLZ ORIGINAL POSTCARD (1962)

On June 23, 1962 at Olympiastadion, Westend, Berlin, Germany world light heavyweight champion Harold Johnson defended his title against Gustav "Bubi" Scholz. Johnson turned away the local hero winning a unanimous 15 round decision. Offered here is an original postcard which was used to advertise this fight.
This is an original, used, advertising postcard which pictures both fighters and includes a vital statistics comparison. Reverse is blank with no writing. Postmark on front. Bold, clear images. Not creased or torn. Paper clip indentation on left edge. 4 1/8" x 5 7/8." Rare, the only example we have seen.
