Jake La Motta was born on July 10, 1922 in Bronx, New York. He began his professional career on March 3, 1941. He won the World Middleweight Title on June 16, 1949 stopping Marcel Cerdan in 10 rounds. Posted career victories over Sugar Ray Robinson, Tommy Bell, Fritzie Zivic, Bob Satterfield and Laurent Dauthuille. His career mark was 83-19-4. Known as "The Bronx Bull" he will forever be remembered as the subject of the popular movie RAGING BULL. Presented here are boxing trunks with a painted image of Jake LaMotta which he has boldly signed.
These are a regulation pair of Everlast white satin boxing trunks. On the right leg there is a painted image of Jake LaMotta in fight pose. Adjacent to the image on the left leg Jake LaMotta has boldly signed his name in black sharpie. The trunks are clean and in almost mint condition. The signature is large and bold and has not run. One of the nicest display items of Jake LaMotta we have ever had in inventory. Approximately 23" x 17".
